Despite battling back health issues for several years, Yoshihiro remains determined to continue creating Hunter x Hunter. In a statement released in 2022, he addressed these challenges while discussing an upcoming exhibit dedicated to his work.
Due to being unable to sit in a chair for two years, I was also unable to draw. However, by abandoning conventional methods, I have somehow been able to resume drawing,”he stated. During that time, he could only create illustrations while lying down, a challenging position for any artist.

By accumulating chapters and strategically releasing them, they could establish a pattern that enables Yoshihiro to draw more in the interim.
