“Given Mr. Togashi’s health status and after discussions with the editorial team, we’ve decided that from now on, the manga will be released in a manner that does not follow a weekly schedule,” Shonen Jump announced.
This means that new chapters of Hunter x Hunter will be published intermittently, allowing Yoshihiro the flexibility to work according to his well-being without the stress of a rigid timetable. This adjustment appears to be a much healthier path forward.
The statement praised Togashi’s commitment, noting his determination to culminate the story. “Mr. Togashi is actively writing the narrative moving forward, and the editorial team will provide continued support until the series concludes,” they mentioned.
Although no specific timeline has been communicated for Hunter x Hunter Chapter 402, Yoshihiro confirmed via X/Twitter that it is complete. Therefore, the forthcoming strategy remains uncertain. Monthly releases could be a reasonable approach, allowing for the creation of additional chapters as fans enjoy the content at hand.
