On October 12, Hwang Jung-eum appeared unfazed, casually sharing, “I’m currently solo.”
During the discussion, Shin Dong-yup posed an intriguing question, “Can you actually date someone while embroiled in a lawsuit?”
To this, Hwang replied, “I first consulted my lawyer, asking, ‘Is there any issue with that?’ and they assured me, ‘Absolutely no problem!’”
Shin Dong-yup humorously added, “It seems like you’ve nearly experienced two divorces; I assumed you’d gotten remarried,” bringing laughter to the gathering.
Hwang Jung-eum shook her head, asserting, “I have no intentions of marrying again.” She emphasized, “Being single offers freedom. It truly feels like a blessing.” In a playful tone, Shin Dong-yup quipped, “Should I start pretending to be envious of your single life?”
Hwang Jung-eum has been selected as the host for SBS Plus’s upcoming show “I Like Solo,” which is set to debut at the end of October, teaming up with the beloved presenter Shin Dong-yup.
Earlier in February, Hwang Jung-eum initiated divorce proceedings against her spouse, Lee Young-don, a businessman and former professional golfer, with whom she shares two sons. Their divorce announcement came as a surprise, especially after they had previously reconciled from a separation, with Hwang citing Lee’s infidelity as the reason for their decision.
In the turmoil, she accidentally named an unrelated individual as the supposed affair partner, resulting in a lawsuit from the woman involved.
Only last month, she confirmed a relationship with basketball player Kim Jong-kyu; however, they parted ways just two weeks after their relationship became public.
