The most recent episode of MBC’s entertainment program ‘Radio Star’, which aired on September 18th, featured guests including Kim Chang-ok, Solbi, Hwasa, Lee Moo-jin, and Park Seo-jin.
Hwasa made her debut appearance on Radio Star after a year. When questioned about her return to the show, she candidly stated, “I made a comeback.”
During her appearance, Hwasa mentioned, “Psy oppa says there’s a Radio Star Jinx. Back during ‘Gangnam Style,’ he had too much sweat in his armpits, and the song became a massive hit. That’s why he encourages me to appear on ‘Radio Star’ with every comeback I make.”
Host Kim Gu-ra also referenced Psy, who is the CEO of her agency, and asked Hwasa, “Is there any difference in opinion between you two? I think you both have a good relationship?” To this, Hwasa replied, “There is no difference in opinion. Psy speaks up first and articulates exactly what’s on my mind. If there were any conflicts, I would share my thoughts with him honestly.”
Hwasa explained, “There were numerous songs available for me to choose as the title track. However, I felt they were lacking in some aspect, so I decided to pass on all of them. When I conveyed that they were missing something, the company instantly agreed.”
She also shared that the title song “NA” initially disappointed her. Hwasa said, “I liked it, but when I mentioned that it felt incomplete, they revamped the entire melody by the next day and played it for me. Their dedication is impressive.”
