HYBE Alleges Min Hee-jin’s Defamation and Manipulation Against NewJeans

At the morning hearing on May 17, HYBE’s representative responded to CEO Min Hee-jin’s arguments by stating, “Min Hee-jin’s concerns are not genuinely for NewJeans, but for their financial gain.”This was during the dispute between HYBE and CEO Min Hee-jin.

HYBE also added that Min Hee-jin claimed, “NewJeans would not have made their debut without me. I empathize with them, which is why I am unable to bear it.”However, it has been revealed that she has spoken ill of NewJeans and belittled them to her inner circle. She has made statements such as, “Treating NewJeans as artists is a huge challenge. It’s exhausting to support them from behind. Thanks to me, NewJeans has achieved success.”

Furthermore, HYBE alleged that CEO Min had been manipulating the members of NewJeans, causing them to become emotionally reliant on her. According to a representative from HYBE, “Director Min insisted that the members of NewJeans adhere to a predetermined script during public interviews. This behavior is a type of manipulation disguised as a mother-daughter dynamic, with the artist being portrayed as the submissive party.”
