On April 25, CEO Min Hee-jin of ADOR, the agency for NewJeans, addressed accusations against her and also spoke out against multiple wrongdoings by HYBE during a press conference.
Despite receiving mixed reactions, it appears that a majority of Koreans are supporting Min Hee-jin, as indicated by polls on Korean platforms and comments on Korean forums.
Despite the growing support for Min Hee-jin, there has been a noticeable disappearance of posts on forums like Cafe Daum and Pann since April 26. These posts, which mainly express messages of being deleted or regulated by the forums’ administrator, have been reported by netizens who claim that their content is being regulated immediately after posting.
This raises suspicion that HYBE is compensating the forums to silence the voices of Min Hee-jin’s supporters, potentially in an effort to manipulate the media.
Upon witnessing this, numerous netizens are condemning HYBE for their lack of effort in defending their artists against smear campaigns and attacks.
They have the power to do this but they dgaf about their own artists being smeared and defamed https://t.co/0wEwWty6Y6 pic.twitter.com/Y2He8UciHx
