HYBE Releases Statement in Response to Min Hee Jin’s Allegations

On April 25th, at KST, there was an emergency press conference held by ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin to discuss the ongoing conflict with the parent company of her label, HYBE. In response, HYBE has given a short statement.

At the press conference, Min Hee Jin accused HYBE and its founder, Bang Si Hyuk, of mistreating her label and NewJeans, making various claims to underscore her point.

Following the conference, HYBE promptly released a statement dismissing the accusations as unworthy of a response.

“Today, there were so many untrue claims made by CEO Min Hee Jin during the press conference that it’s difficult to list them all one by one. CEO Min misrepresented the issues by mixing up perspectives and presented distorted facts with her characteristic skewed interpretation. We have decided not to address each claim individually as we have deemed them not worth responding to, although we could refute them with evidence.”- HYBE

HYBE’s Call for Collaboration and Transparency

The label reiterated that all important information would be shared with the media in the near future and requested Min Hee Jin’s cooperation with the internal audit, which she has been reluctant to do thus far.

“Regarding essential facts that must be clearly disclosed from a managerial perspective during media inquiries, we will sincerely provide our responses. We kindly request that CEO Min stop spreading falsehoods such as ‘there was no proposal for dialogue’ or ‘there was no response to emails,’ and instead promptly return the requested information assets and cooperate with the audit. Having already proven her lack of qualification as a manager, we urge her to resign promptly for the sake of ADOR’s normal management.”- HYBE

Protection of NewJeans’ Reputation and Artists’ Rights

Finally, HYBE advised Min Hee Jin to refrain from mentioning NewJeans in her statements in order to prevent any harm to their reputation.

“Furthermore, please stop constantly mentioning the artists and their parents as it undermines the artists’ value.”- HYBE

In addition, HYBE has reassured NewJeans fans that their schedules will continue as planned and that they will take all necessary steps to safeguard the rights of their artists.
