In response to Min Hee Jin’s allegation that she was prevented from promoting and debuting NewJeans due to LE SSERAFIM, HYBE has issued a statement.
Currently, one of the most talked-about conflicts online is the ongoing feud between Min Hee Jin, the CEO of ADOR, and HYBE Labels. HYBE recently made an announcement that stated Min Hee Jin has intentions to take over complete control of ADOR. ADOR is currently home to NewJeans, one of HYBE’s top groups.
After conducting an audit, HYBE Labels reported that they had found evidence of the alleged plan. In response, they requested a shareholder meeting with ADOR’s board of directors. However, Min Hee Jin, the company’s CEO, strongly refuted these claims. As a result, there has been a surge of online allegations from both parties. The ADOR CEO held an urgent press conference to address the situation.

Ador CEO Accuses LE SSERAFIM of Blocking Debut of New Jeans Line
At the press conference, she stated that Park Ji Won, CEO of HYBE, had requested her to delay promoting NewJeans until the debut of LE SSERAFIM.
They stated that their intention was for the public to perceive LE SSERAFIM as Min Hee Jin’s group, since she was known to be working under HYBE Labels. However, Min Hee Jin opposed this decision as the girls were already recruited for NewJeans and had been promised to debut as HYBE’s first girl group.
According to her, she was faced with boycotts from the company in an attempt to stop her from promoting NewJeans. This prompted Min Hee Jin to create ADOR and launch NewJeans without any teasers or member reveals.
New Agency Denies Accusations That Delayed Debut Was Due To Other Company
On April 26, 2025, HYBE Labels addressed the previously mentioned accusations.
According to their statement, the delay of NewJeans’s debut was caused by R&R issues between Source Music and Min Hee Jin. As a result, LE SSERAFIM ended up debuting before them.
Since the groups debuted one after the other, there was limited time to promote both of them. To address this issue, a specific time frame was established for their schedules and promotions. As NewJeans debuted after LE SSERAFIM, HYBE Labels made the decision to shorten LE SSERAFIM’s debut promotions in order for Min Hee Jin to begin promoting NewJeans.
HYBE also acknowledged Min Hee Jin’s statement that Sakura joined Source Music without prior notice. They added that there were already speculations of her potential debut in HYBE’s upcoming girl group even before she officially signed with the company.
Their statement states,
“Regarding the accusations, we requested Min Hee Jin not promote NewJeans during their debut.
The delay in NewJeans’ debut was caused by the R&R dispute between you and Source Music; as a result, LE SSERAFIM, which Source Music was planning, made its debut first. We chose specific times for the schedules and promotions of the two groups because there was not enough time to properly promote both of them after their consecutive debuts. Regarding LE SSERAFIM member Sakura, numerous articles have been written regarding her move to HYBE even before she signed a contract with us.
In this instance, we were concerned that since people were already aware that Sakura had joined Source Music, information about the line-up of NewJeans would be revealed if we announced that ADOR’s debut group was exclusively composed of rookies. We asked you to do that in order to preserve the news value of both groups, and we also shortened our allotted time for promotion [for LE SSERAFIM] in order to begin promoting NewJeans.”
