As reported by Korean media outlets, HYBE Labels is gearing up to introduce two brand-new boy groups next year, continuing in the successful tradition set by BTS.
Recent information indicates that Big Hit Music, which oversees the activities of BTS and TXT, along with HYBE Japan, known for managing &TEAM, are in the process of launching these fresh boy groups.
The sources reveal, “The company aims to cultivate diverse growth avenues next year, benefitting from BTS’s group engagements, as well as the anticipated debuts with HYBE Japan and Big Hit Music.”
BTS member j-hope is expected to complete his military service this October, while RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are set to be discharged in June of the following year. SUGA is also slated to finish his military obligations in that same month.
Some netizens have expressed concerns, arguing that HYBE Labels is introducing too many new groups simultaneously. Others have voiced criticisms about the management of existing artists and groups.
It’s worth noting that the last boy group introduced by Big Hit Music was TXT, which debuted five years ago.
At present, the only BTS member who has completed his military service is Jin. He discharged from the army after fulfilling his duties with the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Jin enlisted as an active-duty soldier on December 13, 2022, and is currently working as an assistant instructor at the recruit training center of the 5th Infantry Division.
The remaining six members of BTS continue their military service, and the group’s full activities can only resume once all members have finished their obligations, expected in 2025.
