Hyeri Wins Rising Star Award at New York Asian Film Festival

Lee Hyeri will be presented with the Screen International Rising Star Asia Award at the 23rd New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) for her outstanding performance as the lead in “Victory.”The festival, which commences on July 12th at Lincoln Center in New York, will honor her achievements.

The New York Asian Film Festival, which takes place every year in New York, is a renowned event for Asian cinema in North America. This year, the prestigious opening film is “Victory”. The Screen International Rising Star Asia Award acknowledges up-and-coming talents in the Asian film community.

“The plot of “Victory”centers around Pil-sun (Lee Hyeri) and Mina (Park Se-wan), two high school students who form a dance duo in the late 1999.”

Despite already gaining a strong fan base both domestically and internationally for her roles in popular dramas like “Reply 1988”, “My Roommate Is a Gumiho”, and “May I Help You?”, as well as the film “My Punch-Drunk Boxer”, Lee Hyeri’s recent still cuts and teaser video for “Victory”have generated even more excitement among audiences as they reveal a new side to her acting abilities.
