There is speculation that singer HyunA may face backlash after revealing her marriage to Yong Junhyung. On the 13th, HyunA made a guest appearance at the ‘Summer Night Race’ held in Yongin’s Everland.
On that day, HyunA wowed the crowd at the event with a series of popular songs, including her latest release ‘Q&A,’ as well as ‘I’m Not Cool,’ ‘Lip & Hip,’ ‘Red,’ and ‘Bubble Pop.’
Following her performance, videos of HyunA’s stage quickly circulated on multiple online platforms. The footage captured her fervently singing in a short skirt and a snug top featuring a collar.
Despite featuring the text “THE SILENCE BE GOING WILD” (침묵이 들끓고 있다), the video gained attention because during her performance of ‘I’m Not Cool,’ HyunA attempted to engage the audience by passing the microphone to them. However, the crowd did not seem to respond enthusiastically.

The lack of response in the video sparked reactions from viewers, who observed that it was a departure from the usual excitement seen at HyunA’s performances. In regards to this, a Brazilian media outlet stated that HyunA’s career has been greatly affected by her own actions, pointing out the ongoing negative response from the public after her announcement of marriage.
Despite some arguments, it has been claimed that the event HyunA participated in did not elicit a significant response from the audience. According to one netizen, the event was attended by families, which could explain the lack of reaction. This was further supported by photos showing the audience sitting at a considerable distance from the stage.
Despite these explanations, the public’s opinion of HyunA continues to be negative. Ever since she revealed her relationship with Yong Junhyung in January of this year, her announcement of their upcoming marriage has sparked concerns among many, particularly because of Yong Junhyung’s involvement in the 2019 Burning Sun Gate illegal filming scandal.
Despite Yong Junhyung’s post on his Instagram addressing receiving illegal filming materials and feeling wronged, along with a later clarification after five years, it still appeared to be inadequate in swaying public opinion.
Could this have also had an impact on HyunA? She had a North American tour planned for August, with shows scheduled in New York, Chicago, and LA, but she has ultimately decided to cancel the entire tour. While it is not uncommon for overseas performances to be canceled due to low ticket sales, there is speculation that HyunA’s marriage announcement and the resulting negative public sentiment may have played a role in her decision.
