Despite the shocking revelations of the atrocities endured by the victims at the “Burning Sun Gate,”HyunA’s supporters completely abandoned her when she shared glimpses of her vacation in Japan with her controversial partner Yong Junhyung, who was implicated in the scandal.
On May 28, HyunA took to her social media page to share a series of photos from her trip to Japan, where she can be seen enjoying various activities such as indulging in a delicious meal, browsing through shops, and picking out cute accessories. These activities are nothing out of the ordinary for HyunA.
Regrettably, the crowd was let down upon noticing the shadow of a man cast on the wall of the boutique. They promptly assumed him to be her significant other, Yong Junhyung.
Despite her romantic relationships, particularly with Dawn, HyunA’s fans have always been very supportive of her.
Despite dating being a sensitive topic in the K-pop community at the time, her fans bravely defended her and advocated for her right to pursue happiness, even if it meant her being forced out of Cube Entertainment.
Despite their November 2022 breakup, HyunA wasted no time in entering into a new relationship with Yong Junhyung, formerly of BEAST, in January 2024. She proudly introduced him as her new beau.

Despite its popularity as a Gangnam nightclub, the “Burning Sun Gate”was plagued by disturbing incidents such as s**ual assault, r*pe, the unauthorized filming of videos, and involvement of K-pop idols in police corruption, all of which were hidden beneath the surface of its glamorous facade and overseen by its owner Seungri.
During that time, the secret KakaoTalk group chat of Jung Joon Young was also revealed, in which Seungri and Choi Jong Hoon would send messages to each other containing videos and photos of their victims.
After conducting a thorough investigation, it was discovered that Yong Junhyung, who is currently dating HyunA, was linked to the “Burning Sun Gate”scandal in March 2019.
During that time, he clarified that he was not a member of the group chat, but acknowledged that he had privately shared and viewed “molkas”with Jung Joon Young.
Despite confessing to his actions, he was still expelled from BEAST and subsequently enlisted in active duty within the same year. He was not subjected to any consequences and did not provide a sincere apology to those affected by his actions.
