K-pop enthusiasts experienced second-hand embarrassment at a recent event when HyunA was ignored and given the silent treatment during her performance.
On July 13, the ongoing 2024 O-NE SUPERRACE CHAMPIONSHIP will feature the second installment of the Yongin Night Race Vol.2 as part of their Summer Racing campaign.
The event was not only attended by race enthusiasts, but also by music fans who were there to witness performances by popular Korean artists such as HyunA, DAVICHI, Kid Milli, and BE’O.
On July 19, spectators began circulating videos from the event, and among them, HyunA’s name quickly became a hot topic, albeit for a negative reason.
During the major event, HyunA made her appearance in a women’s racing outfit and delivered her popular songs such as “Bubble Pop,””Red,””Lip & Hip,””I’m Not Cool,”and “Q&A”to the audience.
Despite once again showcasing her sweet vocals and stage presence that made her a top-tier female soloist in the K-pop scene, she was met with silence from spectators who were not impressed.
Despite a few fans cheering for her, when HyunA pointed her mic to the crowd and asked them to sing along with her popular tracks, the majority remained silent.
Despite potentially coming across as disrespectful towards the famous singer, the viewers who watched the clip online showed more sympathy towards them and asserted that HyunA “deserves”what happened.
The female icon was urged to stop embarrassing herself and attempting to restore her image by attending events and music festivals.

The hate train and unofficial boycott campaign against HyunA began in January 2024, after she revealed her relationship with Yong Junhyung. This resulted in the majority of her fans completely abandoning her after their wedding announcement in October.
Due to the fact that Yong’s name was connected to Jung Joon Young, the primary perpetrator in the Burning Sun Scandal, this was the cause of the situation.
Despite Yong’s denial of being a member of the notorious KakaoTalk GC where Jung shared illegally filmed “molka”videos of their victims of sexual assault, HyunA’s boyfriend confessed to watching the videos and engaging in sexually explicit conversations with Jung.
Despite dating the controversial idol, HyunA experienced a significant drop in her Instagram followers and damage to her reputation. Her latest comeback, “Attitude,”was unsuccessful in entering domestic music charts, and several of her upcoming North American tour dates in August have been canceled. This has led to speculation that the cancellations were a result of poor ticket sales rather than a deliberate decision.
