During her wedding preparations, rumors circulated that HyunA had abandoned her rescue dog, sparked by her pre-nuptial shoot with Junhyung.
On Instagram, HyunA and Yong Junhyung, a couple who will soon be getting married, posted their wedding pictorial on Sept. 3rd.
The initial batch of pictures garnered significant attention as the idols’ outfits were considered unconventional. Rather than wearing high heels, the female star opted for flat shoes, and she also sported a mini-dress and fishnet stockings, reminiscent of Harley Quinn’s signature look.
The couple continued to radiate a loving bride-groom energy in the next set, and it was made even more memorable with a photo featuring Sogeum, HyunA’s beloved bichon.
Nevertheless, a commotion arose among fans when they noticed that only Sogeum, and not Haetnim, the rescue dog she had adopted in 2019, appeared in the pictorial. Once netizens became aware of this, they were swift to criticize HyunA, claiming that she was neglectful of her pet and may have abandoned him.
Despite receiving backlash for her decision to marry the controversial Yong, K-Netz indirectly came to the defense of the singer by clarifying that her dog was being taken care of by Dawn, HyunA’s former fiancé. They went on to commend the male idol for his love and care towards Haetnim, reassuring fans that the dog was in good hands.
On the same day, HyunA’s current label AT AREA released an official statement to warn against the spread of malicious rumors aimed at defaming the female artist.
The label stated:
“We had prepared to file legal action against the constant personal attacks, spread of false information, and malicious distortions regarding our artist HyunA, but we have consistently shown leniency at the artist’s request.
However, since the announcement of the marriage, we have confirmed that the defamation has been carried out indiscriminately to a level that we can no longer stand by and watch.
In particular, since the release of the wedding pictorial, the production and distribution of rumors that are completely different from the truth have become serious, so we have decided to take strong action.”
In addition, they placed great emphasis on:
“As a minimum measure to protect our personalities, we will take strict legal action against malicious rumors in the future without any warnings, leniency, or agreements.”
Despite rumors of HyunA and Yong Junhyung’s upcoming marriage on October 11, it was falsely reported that the female soloist had abandoned her rescue dog and was pregnant before the wedding. However, a recent statement has clarified that these rumors are completely untrue.
Despite the criticism HyunA received for dating Yong Junhyung, who had left his group BEAST (now known as HIGHLIGHT) in 2019, the absurd rumors continued to circulate.
He decided to leave after discovering his involvement in the “illegal video distribution”group chat led by Jung Joon Young, former BIGBANG member Seungri, and ex-FTISLAND member Choi Jong Hoon.
