The most recent episode of the web show “Jo Hyun Ah’s Thursday Night”was uploaded to YouTube on April 18, 2024. During the episode, soloist HyunA made a guest appearance and shared details about her current relationship.
Upon being questioned by Jo Hyun Ah regarding the contrast between her boyfriend’s initial perception of her and her true self, HyunA affirmed that there was indeed a significant difference. She confirmed by saying, “Yes, he had initially mistaken me for being cunning.”
HyunA reminisced about their first date and how it changed his perception of her. She explained, “It was after we had a meal of seonji hangover soup on our first date that his perception of me shifted.”
The idol then disclosed that she cried during their initial date! The cause? A romantic film.
“During our viewing of the drama ‘My Love from the Star,’ she shed tears,”the idol shared. She also shared her love for these intimate moments, saying, “These small, endearing experiences truly bring me joy.”

Hyuna and Yong Junhyung’s Relationship Controversy
On January 18, 2024, the internet was left in shock when HyunA and Yong Junhyung shared a photo of themselves holding hands on the beach. HyunA even used a couple emoji in her post and asked fans in the comments to show their support for their relationship. It wasn’t long before both parties confirmed that they were indeed dating.
After publicly announcing their relationship, HyunA was met with a wave of criticism. This was due to the fact that in 2018, it came to light that Yong Jun Hyun had received illicit videos from actor Jung Joon Young. In a statement that has since been deleted, Yong Jun Hyun admitted to engaging in inappropriate discussions regarding the videos. As a consequence, he departed from HIGHLIGHT and took a hiatus from his career.
Despite HyunA’s well-known reputation as a feminist and for her empowering songs, many were disappointed and disturbed by her choice to date someone who has been involved in controversial actions. Her label, At AREA, has released a statement announcing their plans to take legal action against any malicious comments directed towards the artist.
