The manga chapter opens with an introduction to a mysterious character, whose family initially treated him kindly upon discovering his quirk was a mutation. However, soon after, he was confined to the basement of his house, much like Eri, due to his non-inherited quirk. His mouth was bound and he was left abandoned in the underground room, causing him to feel scared and cry incessantly in isolation.

Many years passed, and one day he overheard his parents shouting, “This nation is doomed.”They tossed him a piece of bread and never returned. Eventually, an explosion rocked the underground of their home, providing him with an opportunity to flee.

After spending a considerable amount of time underground, he finally emerged into the sunlight, but it was too harsh for his eyes. He felt disoriented, not knowing where to go or what to do. He was completely alone and frightened in a world where everyone seemed to be happy and working together. He couldn’t understand why they were smiling, as his only experience of life was being isolated in the basement.

Her quirk was to give blood to anyone. Maybe if she had been found sooner…”Ochako’s thoughts trailed off as she mourned the loss of her friend. “If only we had known each other as children, maybe things could have been different.”

Deku mentioned that he had been pondering over Tenko and how the outcome of this war differed from the previous one. He had also been cautioned by AFO about the difficult road ahead. Despite this, he was aware that they could potentially emerge from this situation if they continued to intervene, even when it was not their concern.
