I Have a Crush at Work Anime Unveils Cast and January 2025 Premiere with First PV

On Monday, September 9, 2024, the official website of the anime I Have a Crush at Work announced that the series will premiere in January 2025. This exciting news came alongside a promotional video revealing the main cast and staff members.

I Have a Crush at Work, a Japanese manga series by Akamaru Enomoto, has been serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine Morning since March 2019. The manga concluded its serialization in January 2023 and is compiled into 15 volumes.

The promotional video primarily showcased the two main characters, Yui Mitsuya and Masugu Tateishi, who are not in a romantic relationship yet share a mutual crush, creating an in-office affair dynamic.

Although they attempt to keep their relationship under wraps, the promotional video hints that their office colleague, Keisuke Somei, may discover their secret.

The anime has confirmed the voice cast for five characters. Seiichirou Yamashita will voice Masugu Tateishi, while Yume Miyamoto will voice Yui Mitsuya. Notably, Yamashita has voiced Edward Midford in Black Butler and Cid Kagenou in The Eminence in Shadow. Miyamoto, on her part, is known for voicing Rouge Redstar in Metallic Rouge and Chi Nishikata in Teasing Master Takagi-san.

Also joining the cast are Shizuka Itou, Reiou Tsuchida, and You Taichi, voicing Shizuno Hayakawa, Keisuke Somei, and Maria Morizono, respectively. Itou has lent her voice to Enchantress in Suicide Squad ISEKAI and Yoriko Kichijouji in Oshi no Ko. Tsuchida previously voiced Souta Kazama in My Senpai is Annoying, while Taichi is recognized for voicing Anzu Yokoyama in Prison School and Jousuke Higashikata in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

The direction of I Have a Crush at Work will be helmed by Naoko Takeichi, known for her work on Re:Zero, at studio BLADE. The scripts will be supervised by Masahiro Yokotani, alongside character designer Mina Ousawa.
