I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince Season 2 Officially Confirmed

On Monday, June 17, 2024, Bandai Namco Filmworks officially announced that a second season of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince was in the works, immediately following the conclusion of the first season. Although an announcement graphic was released, no additional details were shared. Bandai Namco Filmworks did not reveal any further information about the production of the second season.

As of writing this article, Bandai Namco Filmworks has not announced any release details for the second season of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince. However, it is speculated that the second season of the television anime will return by the end of 2025.

The second season of the television anime adaptation of “I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince”will continue the story of the light novel series written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Meru. The original web novel first debuted on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in October 2019 and is still ongoing.

As of writing this article, it remains uncertain which direction season 2 of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince will take after the first season’s conclusion. Lloyd now has a strong support system with allies such as Tao, his siblings, Sylpha, and the Assassin’s Guild. However, it is uncertain if the series is building towards a significant arc. Nonetheless, fans can anticipate these allies to play a prominent role in the upcoming season.

The debut season aired on TV Tokyo and BS NTV in Japan on April 1, while Crunchyroll streamed the anime worldwide on a weekly basis. It features Makoto Koichi as Lloyd, Fairouz Ai as Grim, Lynn as Sylpha, Akira Sekine as Tao, Rie Takahashi as Ren, Shun Horie as Albert, Yuya Hirose as Dian, Akane Kumada as Alieze, and Eriko Matsui as Shiro.

Tsumugi Akita Anime Lab was the production studio for the first season of the series, directed by Jin Tamamura. The music was composed by R.O.N, and the script, series composition, and art management were handled by Naoki Tozuka. Yuuichi Abe served as the action director, with Mai Ono as the color key artist. Yuki Yano was in charge of compositing director of photography, and Ryo Tanaka was the sound director at Ai Addiction.

In 2022, Yosuke Kokuzawa and Meru, the original light novel illustrator, collaborated on a manga adaptation of Circle’s web novels for Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app. The 15th compilation volume was recently released in Japan on April 9, with the 16th volume scheduled to be available on August 7. Currently, 11 of the planned 16 volumes have been translated into English, with the 12th volume set to be released soon.
