One of the most powerful and well-liked Pseudo Legendaries is currently obtainable through Pokemon Go Raids, and its 3-Star difficulty level allows for solo play as well.
The Raid Boss in question is none other than the highly popular Garchomp. While other Pseudo Legendaries such as Dragonite, Tyranitar, and Salamence have frequently appeared in Raids, this Dragon/Ground-type Pokemon has never been featured in its unevolved state.
Thus, it did not take long for players to gather at Gyms in order to challenge this formidable opponent. Among them is ‘state-of-dreaming’, a Reddit user who shared their experience of encountering Garchomp in 3-Star Raids.

As many players have pointed out, taking advantage of its double weakness to Ice-type attacks makes it easy to defeat.
A commenter pointed out that at T3, Garchomp can be defeated by a team consisting of strong Ice types, with added support from Dragons and Fairies. Other participants also noted that the solo can be achieved with readily available Pokemon such as Mamoswine, Galarian Darmanitan, Glaceon, and Weavile.
Furthermore, numerous users emphasized that it is not necessary for these counters to be fully upgraded or powered up to high levels. They stated that anyone can successfully complete a solo mission with them, even if only half of the counters are at Lv30.
The OP also mentioned that the presence of Mega Garchomp in the game will result in a higher chance of encountering shiny Pokémon, with odds of 1 in 128 instead of the usual 1 in 512. Additionally, Garchomp equipped with Ground-type moves will prove to be a valuable asset in battling against a much-awaited Mega Evolution set to debut on July 27, 2024.
“A player advised to prepare a team of six counters before the release of Mega Lucario, noting that Garchomp would be a strong choice.”
Remember that Garchomp will continue to be obtainable in Pokemon Go Raids until July 25. If you manage to catch one with perfect IVs, make sure to utilize an Elite Charged TM to teach it the formidable move Earth Power.
