As you navigate the world of Metaphor: ReFantazio, you’ll encounter a variety of quirky characters, including one particularly intriguing figure – Heismay.

Heismay is classified as a Eugief, which is simply a playful term for a diminutive, chatty bat. In the realm of Martira, he’s been implicated in the mysterious disappearance of children, and it’s up to you to ensure justice is served.

While you may consider obtaining an information sheet from the informant, beware: this route won’t clue you in on which character is the authentic Heismay. He has a clever strategy up his sleeve, featuring three duplicates. Here’s how to discern the genuine Heismay and bring him down.

Identifying the Real Heismay

To locate the real Heismay, pay close attention to the shadows cast beneath the Eugiefs. Any enemies that lack shadows are merely clones.

If you catch a snippet of Gallica’s voice, she’ll be exclaiming, “wait, that one doesn’t have a…” Her remarks refer to the missing shadows. The only shadow you’ll observe on the ground will belong to the actual Heismay within Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Once you’ve confirmed which Heismay is the real one, unleash any attack to inform him that you’ve uncovered his ruse. Heismay will unleash his clones twice more, but once he recognizes that you’ve figured out his trick, it becomes a three-against-one showdown.

Fortunately for you, Heismay is not a lethal foe, making him relatively simple to defeat. He doesn’t exhibit any vulnerabilities, although he is resistant to dark attacks. His repertoire is limited to standard strikes and a Sand Throw, aimed at decreasing your Hit and Evasion stats.
