Announcement of Creator Clash 3 Marks the End of a Year-Long Silence
The inaugural Creator Clash event took place in May 2022, featuring 18 prominent influencers competing in the boxing ring to raise funds for various charitable organizations. However, challenges arose during Creator Clash 2 in 2023 that led to an extended pause for the event series. A notable online feud between participating creators drew negative attention and affected fan engagement.
Moreover, the second installment faced significant financial difficulties, reportedly losing around $250, 000 due to widespread piracy.iDubbbz disclosed that approximately 800 illegal streaming sites aired the event, capturing between 1.3 to 3 million viewers while only 50, 000 pay-per-views were sold.
During a post-event video, iDubbbz expressed his concerns about the event’s future, stating, “I can’t even think about doing a Creator Clash 3. We lost money, and there’s no money for charity. So, what are we gonna do to solve that?”
The outlook seemed grim for Creator Clash, which initially captured the hearts of fans as a philanthropic influencer boxing event. Fortunately, after a year of recovery efforts, the event is on track for a comeback, generating excitement among viewers.
A fan expressed relief on X, stating, “SO excited! I was so afraid that there wouldn’t be another!” Another added, “I’ve been waiting for this one!”
This announcement arrives amid other significant developments in the influencer boxing realm, including hints from Jake and Logan Paul about a potential brother-vs-brother match scheduled to be livestreamed on HBO Max.
