Ikemoto’s Comment on Sarada’s Jacket in Boruto Two Blue Vortex Confirms What BoruSara Fans Had Guessed All Along

The release of Boruto Two Blue Vortex, the next installment in the Boruto series, sparked numerous discussions among fans, particularly surrounding Boruto’s relationships with other characters. This has caused tension between the Sarada and Sumire fandoms, who have been debating this topic since the introduction of their respective characters.

Sarada’s journey has been intertwined with Boruto’s throughout the entire Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series. However, the introduction of new character designs in the manga’s second iteration has brought forth a new set of challenges.

Despite this, Ikemoto and Kishimoto’s recent interview not only shed light on Sarada’s character design philosophy but also further supported the BoruSara arguments among fans.

Boruto and Sarada’s Connection: Ikemoto Confirms in Boruto Two Blue Vortex

Sarada’s post-timeskip look featured an oversized black and red jacket, resembling the design seen in the initial teasers for the series. This only added to the speculation surrounding the BoruSara fan theories.

Despite this, the Boruto-Sumire fandom was further strengthened by the numerous color spreads featuring Boruto’s post-timeskip design, which included a black cape with purple inner lining.

The stark aesthetic differences between Boruto, Kawaki, Sarada, and Sumire further emphasized their individuality. While Sarada and Kawaki’s timeskip designs both had a relaxed and oversized aesthetic, this was often used as evidence to contradict the supposed connection between Boruto and Sarada.

However, Mikio Ikemoto’s remarks about Sarada’s outfit after the time-skip have divulged that her large jacket is actually a men’s jacket from the brand Boruto. This solidifies the link between Boruto and Sarada, providing further evidence for the fan theories of the BoruSara fandom.

Fan Reactions to the Comments

Several BoruSara supporters have shared their excitement over the authors’ confirmation of their theories, stating that their ideas are now more than just headcanon. Additionally, some fans have pointed out that Sarada’s choice to wear clothing reminiscent of Boruto serves to reinforce the ongoing narrative surrounding their bond.

“Dayumm I thought it was a headcanon at first; I love that it’s actually canon 😭🙏,”one fan said.

“Sarada missed Boruto so much that she bought herself a jacket of the same brand that he wore. She didn’t want to forget him for a single second…😭,”another fan said.

Some fans also used the opportunity to commend her character design and the careful consideration that went into her overall aesthetic. This led her to create an outfit that served as a poignant reminder of her loved ones.

One fan suggested that Sarada’s decision to wear a certain outfit could stem from her fear of eventually losing her memories of Boruto, similar to what happened to the rest of the village when Eida used her omnipotence in the events of Boruto Two Blue Vortex.

“I love how Sarada’s character design have things related to people she loves,”one fan wrote.

“I believe sarada has faced psychological problems fearing that she will also forget her friend like everyone else. It’s really understandable why she is wearing the same brand clothes as him.”Another fan wrote.

The recent release of Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 13 confirmed that Jura’s attack on Boruto was successful, resulting in Kawaki being able to take control of him. Additionally, it was revealed that Kashin Koji, with his ability to see into the future, played a role in this event. Fans can look forward to the next chapter, Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 14, which is set to be released on September 20, 2024.
