iKON Member Yunhyeong Shares Enlistment Date— Fans React

It has been officially announced that Song Yunhyeong will commence his military service in 2024. The announcement sparked a wave of surprised reactions from iKONICs, who shared their genuine thoughts on the idol’s impending mandatory service.

143 Entertainment released an official statement on July 24, announcing that Song Yunhyeong will be enlisting for military service. In a post on iKON’s official social media accounts, the company expressed their appreciation to the fans who have consistently shown love and support for the group.

The company announced that Song Yunhyeong will begin his training at the recruits’ center on August 13. 143 Entertainment also urged fans to show their support for the idol during his enlistment and reassured them that he will return safely upon completing his duties.

Furthermore, 143 Entertainment made clear its stance on safety concerns. The company stated that in order to avoid any possible accidents or overcrowding, all official events will be cancelled on Yunhyeong’s enlistment day.

The company stated that Yunhyeong would be given the opportunity to spend the majority of his remaining time with iKONICs before enlisting. The full statement can be found below.

“Hello. This is 143 Entertainment.

We would like to thank iKONICs for always showing their love to iKON.

This coming Tuesday, August 13th, member Song Yunhyeong will enter the recruit training center. Please give a lot of support and encouragement to Song Yunhyeong, who will return after faithfully completing his military service.

For safety reasons, no separate official events will be held on the day of his admission. Please understand that the admission will be held privately to prevent safety accidents due to on-site congestion.

We will do our best to allow Song Yunhyeong to spend time with iKONIC before his enlistment.

Despite being met with shock, fans responded to the announcement with a mix of emotions, expressing their sadness over Yunhyeong’s enlistment news while also showing their unwavering support for the idol.
