On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, the official website and Twitter account (now known as X) for the I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History anime released a promotional video featuring the character Alicia Williams (voiced by Kanna Nakamura) and announced that the highly anticipated series will debut on October 1, 2024.
Enterbrain publishers have been releasing light novel volumes in a serialized format since August 2019. To date, there have been six published volumes. Additionally, the light novels have served as inspiration for a manga adaptation by Akari Hoshi.
I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History Anime Reveals PV for Alicia and Confirms October 1, 2024 Release Date
As previously stated, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, the official staff for the I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History anime released a character promotional video for the main heroine, Alicia Williams. According to the video, the premiere of the anime will take place on October 1, 2024, on the Tokyo MX channel.
The promotional video showcases Kanna Nakamura as Alicia Williams, the well-known voice actress who brings the main character of the I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History anime to life. Alicia is the protagonist of the series, reincarnated into her beloved otome game and determined to become the ultimate villainess in its history.
The first episode of the Isekai fantasy anime had its world premiere at the Anime Messe Babelsberg 2024 in Berlin, Germany, on July 20, 2024.
Cast and Staff for I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History Anime
The cast of the anime includes Kanna Nakamura in the role of Alicia Williams, as well as Kaito Ishikawa as Duke Seeker, Rie Takahashi as Jill, Ryota Ohsaka as Albert Williams, Haruki Ishiya as Henry Williams, Kohei Amasaki as Alan Williams, Kent Ito as Eric Hudson, Hiroshi Yanaka as Will, and Manaka Iwami as Cather Liz.
Moreover, the cast comprises of Shoya Chiba portraying Gale Evans, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Arnold Williams, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Curtis Kenwood, Takehito Koyasu as Luke Seeker, and Ayumu Murase as Finn Smith.
Yuji Yanase is the director of the Isekai fantasy series at Maho Film, while Sawako Hirabayashi oversees the scripts. The character design is being handled by Yuko Watabe and Eri Kojima. Moe Hyuga, known for his work on Steins; Gate 0, is composing the music for the series.
This anime, titled I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History, is adapted from Izumi Okido’s light novels. It tells the tale of Alicia, a character who despises timid and submissive heroines. However, after a series of unforeseen circumstances, she finds herself reincarnated as the villainess in her beloved Otome game.
Despite her efforts, Alicia is unable to achieve her goal of becoming the world’s most evil heroine. Her plans are thwarted when she crosses paths with Prince Duke Seeker, who seems to only grow fonder of her whenever she attempts to act like a villainess.
