ILLIT Achieves Over 550,000 Pre-orders Ahead of Controversial Comeback on October 21st

On October 18, album distributors Genie Music and Stone Music Entertainment announced that ILLIT—comprising members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha—has posted over 550,000 pre-orders for their upcoming second mini album titled “I’LL LIKE YOU.” This remarkable number is 2.6 times greater than the pre-order total of 211,851 copies for their initial album, “SUPER REAL ME.” With just three days left until the album drops, there are high anticipations for the pre-order figures to continue climbing.

After the group’s debut in March, ILLIT recorded outstanding achievements. Their first album, “SUPER REAL ME,” moved more than 380,000 copies within its first week and made its entry into the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. Furthermore, the album’s leading track, “Magnetic,” notably became the first debut song from a K-pop group to feature on both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the U.K. Official Singles Top 100 during the week of April 5.

YOU

Due to their rising global influence, the cumulative sales of “SUPER REAL ME” have steadily progressed, reaching a total of 558,227 copies as reported by Circle Chart from March 25 to September 30. With pre-orders for the new album exceeding the 500,000 benchmark, ILLIT is poised to achieve their second album that crosses the half-million mark within their debut year, and total album sales for the year may potentially hit a million.

Scheduled to launch on October 21st at 6 p.m., the second mini album “I’LL LIKE YOU” narrates the journey of a girl who becomes deeply enthralled when she encounters someone she wishes to connect with. It explores her relationships with those around her while she ultimately chooses to trust her feelings and pursue “you.” The title track, “Cherish (My Love),” is a vibrant dance-pop creation characterized by its catchy hook, infectious rhythm, and the members’ crystal-clear, melodic vocals.
