Wonhee, a member of the up-and-coming girl group ILLIT, recently shared her experience of being discovered on the streets.
On May 24, 2024, JTBC made an announcement that ILLIT, known for their debut track “Magnetic”which was released in March, will be featured as guests on the May 25 episode of “Knowing Bros.”The members of the girl group will join the cast for a spring outing in Hwaseong City, in anticipation of the 14th Hwaseong Boat Festival. The festival is scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 2.
During a recent recording, Wonhee responded to Lee Jin Ho’s question about her debut by revealing that she was initially hesitant and even suspected that she was being scammed due to the cost involved.
He mentioned, “When I was in my first year of high school, I was street-cast at the Express Bus Terminal. Initially, I was skeptical and thought it might be a scam.”
Viewers of the survival show “R U Next?”are well-informed that among the ILLIT members, Wonhee had the least amount of training time. The show premiered on June 30, 2023, and during that time, the idol had trained for less than two months prior to the show’s start.
Fans are even more curious about what happened after hearing the unique way she was cast.
Despite being newcomers who had only been active for two months, ILLIT still received valuable advice on how to sustain their group for the long term from Super Junior’s Kim Heechul and Shindong.
When inquired about their ultimate aspiration, ILLIT expressed, “In the far-off future, our desire is to reflect on our time as ILLIT with fondness, and we also wish for our supporters to reminisce on their time as fans of ILLIT with fondness as well.”
The airing of the episode has been scheduled for May 25 at 8:50 PM. Share your thoughts on the situation by leaving a comment below.
Additionally, during that month, Wonhee was chosen to be the new face of the Japanese sports drink Pocari Sweat, while ILLIT was revealed as the latest ambassador for the French cosmetics brand Bioderma.
