During a recent video, it was disclosed that ILLIT’s Iroha became emotional and shed tears while recording the group’s debut album. The other members also expressed their genuine emotions while recording “Super Real Me.”
Amidst their growing fame, ILLIT released a behind-the-scenes video showcasing the making of their first mini-album, “Super Real Me.”However, the group has been hit with allegations of copying NewJeans and has also received criticism for their stage presence.
Although the group gained instant popularity upon their debut, they have faced significant backlash for their “lackluster”vocals. This criticism was particularly directed towards Moka, Wonhee, and Irona, resulting in intense scrutiny over their live performance capabilities.
The behind-the-scenes footage piqued the interest of fans as it showcased the struggles that ILLIT encountered while recording. One particular member who captured the attention of viewers was Iroha, the youngest in the group, who displayed visible emotion due to the strenuous recording sessions.
Despite receiving guidance and positive comments from the producers, Iroha showed signs of frustration during the recording of “Midnight Fiction”as she struggled to get her line just right. Her voice trembled as she responded to the criticism, prompting the producer to enter the studio and find her already in tears.

Despite practicing diligently before recording, Iroha admitted that her nerves got the best of her and she was unable to deliver her performance. Yunha shared that Iroha is very self-critical and becomes stressed when she is unable to perform to her own standards.
Despite the mini-album’s catchy and youthful melodies, the group faced challenges in fully conveying the emotions and concepts of their songs. They heavily relied on guidance from their producers and vocal coaches to ensure that the vocal lines were easy to sing along to.
Despite receiving attention for her dynamic stage presence and visuals during promotions, Moka’s debut was overshadowed by her unstable vocals during live performances. As a result, she faced criticism and gained a reputation as one of HYBE’s weaker vocalists, which saddened her.
In the recording studio, it was evident that Moka faced challenges. The producers frequently asked her to redo lines and gave her guidance on how to sing. In the video, she shared that she struggled with Korean pronunciation and it would take her an hour to finish a single line.

The new video released by BELIFT Lab has sparked controversy for allegedly sexualizing their new jeans.
In spite of this, there is a positive outlook that she will make progress with further experience and training.
On the contrary, Minju and Yunah showcased their impressive vocal talents. Minju’s intensive training at YG Entertainment, which built a strong foundation in her singing abilities, allowed her to easily record. Both members actively participated in the creative process, ensuring that the music reflected their artistic vision.
