On June 14, Belift Lab, the agency of ILLIT, released a statement through the fan community Weverse, stating that during a recent shoot, Wonhee sustained an ankle injury and has received medical treatment. As per the doctor’s recommendation, she will need to wear a brace and avoid strenuous activities for the time being.
Despite her injury, Wonhee will still take part in the Weverse Con stage. However, she will be seated and will not be able to perform any choreography. Belift Lab has announced that Wonhee will be participating in the 2024 Weverse Con Festival on June 15, but she will not be dancing due to her injury. They kindly ask for the fans’ understanding regarding this matter.
The agency also stated, “Although the artist is committed to attending all planned events, her recovery will be our main focus based on medical advice and we will make necessary adjustments to her schedule. We will make every effort to ensure that Wonhee can interact with her fans in a good state of health.”
Despite being unable to perform at the Hannam University festival last month due to health issues, Wonhee has now suffered an ankle injury less than a month later, causing further concern among fans.
