The official website and X (formerly known as Twitter) handle for the I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime released a teaser promotional video on Thursday, June 27, 2024, announcing that the show will debut in January 2025, during the Winter season. The short clip also unveiled the main cast of the series.
TO Books has been publishing the novels since February 2020, with eight volumes released to date. The light novels have also been adapted into a manga, featuring Rio Akisaki’s illustrations.

As previously mentioned, the official staff for the anime I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin released a teaser promotional video on Thursday, June 27, 2024. The short PV revealed that the fantasy anime is scheduled to premiere in the January 2025 or Winter 2025 season and will be available on Anime Hodai and U-NEXT services in Japan.
The most recent promotional video showcases the protagonist, Liam Hamilton, a humble peasant who suddenly finds himself as the youngest son of a noble family. The brief footage captures Liam’s journey of adjusting to his new life and embracing it with enthusiasm.
In addition to the PV, the official staff of the I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime have announced the names of the main cast members. Ayumu Murase will play Liam Hamilton, the fifth son of the noble Hamilton family. Tomokazu Sugita has also been confirmed to voice Radon, a demon dragon who was sealed away by Liam’s ancestors.
Saori Hayami, a well-known voice actress, lends her voice to Jodi, a seasoned hunter and member of Liam Hamilton’s party. Haruka Tomatsu takes on the role of Asuna, a young girl from the Hunters Guild who also becomes a member of Liam’s party. Additional cast members for the series are expected to be announced in the future.

The renowned Kenichi Ishikura, renowned for his work on the Ongaku Shojo anime, is directing the I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime at Studio DEEN and Marvy Jack Studios. Tatsuya Takahashi is responsible for the scripts, with Arisa Okehazama as the music composer. The talented Midori Otsuka has also joined the team as the character designer.
The I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime is adapted from Nazuna Miki’s light novels and centers on a middle-aged commoner who finds himself in the body of Liam Hamilton, the youngest son of the Hamilton noble family, as they face impending ruin.
Despite having no memory of how he came to inhabit Liam’s body, the commoner sees it as a chance to finally learn the magic spells he has always dreamed of. To his surprise, he discovers a natural talent for magic that completely transforms his life.
