I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class anime is set to premiere in January 2025. This announcement was made during Aniplex Online Fest 2024, accompanied by a promotional video on Monday, September 16, 2024. The preview clip highlights the anime’s ending theme song.
This upcoming anime is adapted from the popular rom-com light novel series written by Seiju Amano and illustrated by Nanami Nurumi, published by Media Factory, with eight volumes released to date.
Trailer Confirms January 2025 Release for I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class
During Aniplex Online Fest 2024, voice actors Shogo Sakata (Saito Hojo) and Hinaki Yano (Akane Sakuramori) took the stage to unveil the first promotional video for the anime and confirm its January 2025 release date.
The official trailer showcases Saito and Akane, who are thrust into an unwanted marriage despite their mutual dislike. The video also introduces additional characters, like Himari and Chiyo, and gives a sneak peek of the series’ ending theme song, titled “Suki Kirai mo Oikoshite”(Overtaking Love and Hate).
Recently announced cast members include Sayumi Suzushiro voicing Himari Ishikura, Akane’s best friend, and Nene Hieda as Shisei Hojo, Saito Hojo’s cousin. Hochu Ootsuka voices Tenryu Hojo, Saito’s grandfather and a CEO, while Fumi Hirano portrays Chiyo, Akane’s grandmother.
The main roles feature Shogo Sakata as Saito Hojo and Hinaki Yano as Akane Sakuramori. The new voice actors expressed their enthusiasm about joining the series in comments shared on the anime’s official website.
The series is directed by Hiroyuki Oshima at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ, with script supervision by Tatsuya Takahashi. Character design is credited to Nanako Tatsu, and Arisa Okehazama serves as the music composer. EGG FIRM is involved as the producer.
I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class centers on Saito Hojo, who forms an unlikely marriage with his classmate and adversary, Akane Sakuramori, due to extraordinary circumstances.
Throughout their newlywed life, Saito and Akane bicker constantly. However, as they learn more about each other, they gradually close the gap between them and develop feelings for one another.
