During Kendrick Lamar’s viral Pop Out concert, live-streamer ‘ImDontai’ successfully convinced a viewer to wave at him on Twitch.
In honor of Juneteenth, a live performance at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles brought together rap icon Kendrick Lamar, along with other renowned musicians in the industry such as Dr Dre, Tyler the Creator, YG, and more on June 19.
The concert was filled with epic moments, such as Kendrick performing ‘They Not Like Us’ live for the first time and even adding a new verse to ‘Euphoria’. However, there is one part of the concert that is causing a stir on Twitch.
ImDontai, a well-known content creator on Twitch with close to 2 million followers, had a fan who was at the Pop Out concert while he livestreamed the performance on his channel.
As the Forum filled with fans, Dontai was informed by a viewer that he was visible on camera at the event. Dontai then requested the fan to use their phone’s flashlight to wave at him, and despite a minor delay in the broadcast, the fan was able to successfully follow his instructions and wave their phone back and forth as Dontai had asked.
Dontai was filled with excitement as he was able to connect with one of his fans in real time at a massive event, despite the distance of hundreds of miles between them.

The exchange became popular on various social media platforms, receiving the designation of “uplifting moment”from viewers who promptly recorded Dontai’s live stream and spread it on the internet.
“One user wrote that this is a clear indication of success.”
“One person remarked that it was incredible to have enough influence to bring someone into your live stream while at a concert,”another person commented.
It can be confidently stated that Dontai thoroughly enjoyed the concert, particularly evident by his reaction upon seeing Tyler the Creator take the stage.
