TSM and Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen have announced their separation, as the veteran has officially left the Apex Legends team.
On May 13, TSM released a 10-minute video featuring ImperialHal discussing his decision and his time with the North American esports organization. ImperialHal also shared his statement on social media, announcing his departure from TSM and his new team with DarkZero’s Rhys ‘Zer0’ Perry and Noyan ‘Genburten’ Ozkose.
Despite rumors and speculation, there is no confirmation from ImperialHal on whether he will be joining DarkZero or any other organization. The Apex Legends esports scene is currently experiencing a significant period of roster changes, so it is possible that he may end up signing with a different team altogether.
The player clarifies in the announcement video that his decision was not influenced by money, his contract, or the management at TSM.
“ImperialHal explained that it seemed like a necessary change.”

The declaration follows shortly after TSM’s underwhelming showing at the 2024 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, where ImperialHal and his team finished in 17th place.
In 2019, the champion of the 2023 ALGS Championship began his career in Apex Legends with TSM and has since played a pivotal role in the organization’s success in the competitive scene. During his time with TSM, ImperialHal has achieved four significant tournament victories: the ALGS 2023 Championship, the ALGS 2023 Split 1 Playoffs, the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational, and the EXP Invitational.
“In a post on social media, he expressed his gratitude to TSM and all his teammates for having faith in him. He stated that he will always cherish the memories of the past 5 years.”
Fans of ImperialHal will have the opportunity to watch the player compete in Split 2 of the North American ALGS Pro League, beginning on June 1, with the absence of the TSM logo on his jersey.
