If there was any doubt about the overwhelming power of Diablo 4’s new Spiritborn class, recent developments have put that to rest, showcasing a build capable of dealing hundreds of trillions in damage.
Do you recall when players were astounded by builds that could achieve damage levels in the billions? Those days are long gone, particularly following the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion.
The recently added Spiritborn class features some remarkable builds that can obliterate the waves of demons invading Sanctuary. Although the Evade Eagle build faced some nerfs with patch 2.0.3, one particular build remains untouched by those adjustments.
YouTuber NickTew has shared his take on the Quill Volley Spiritborn build, and the term ‘overpowered’ might actually be an understatement. Thanks to some meticulous synergy management and a minor bug, this build is capable of exceeding 100 trillion damage.
NickTew refers to his variation of the Quill Volley build for the Spiritborn class as “the most exceptional build ever seen in Diablo 4,”and it’s easy to understand his reasoning. “The highest number I’ve achieved is an astounding 149 trillion,” he disclosed.
The foundation of this build is akin to the standard Quill Volley Spiritborn, primarily focusing on a mix of the Rod of Kepeleke and the Banished Lord’s Talisman to ensure critical hits and Overpower activation with every strike. By significantly increasing your Barrier generation using Aspects, Tempering, and Gems, you can turbocharge your damage potential.
The core aspect propelling this build is the currently bugged Viscous Shield Paragon Node, which scales infinitely. This node offers a damage boost for every 3% of your maximum life that you have as a Barrier, and remarkably, it does not cap at 100%. With sufficient maximum life, this results in an extraordinary, though unintentional, power surge.
With NickTew’s Spiritborn boasting 32,000 health, the resulting damage calculations are extraordinary. The exciting part is that the build has yet to hit its maximum potential. “I can still make some adjustments, so reaching 200 trillion damage is definitely feasible,” the YouTuber noted.
However, considering this Spiritborn build depends on a bug that renders it 100,000 times more effective than top-tier builds for other classes in Diablo 4, it’s safe to predict it won’t last for long.
