The official Japanese Digimon Twitter account recently showcased the exciting new collaboration, featuring two colorful Digimon COLOR devices. These devices include a red “Rathalos Color” variant and a blue “Zinogre Color” variant, distinguishing them from the traditional black and white versions. Players begin by raising a digital egg that can evolve into one of eight different monsters, while the accompanying video in the tweet promises a total of 36 monsters to raise, including fan favorites like Khezu, Rajang, Tigrex, Nargacuga, Gore Magala, and Mizutsune.
It’s reasonable to assume that both Rathalos and Zinogre will feature prominently among the vast array of monsters available, given their popularity and significance as the inspiration for these devices. Additionally, the collaboration introduces two exclusive monsters that are clear DNA Digivolutions of these well-known creatures. The new monsters include “Losgreymon,” a fusion of Rathalos and Greymon, and “Zinogarurumon,” combining Zinogre with Garurumon. Fans of both franchises will undoubtedly appreciate the creative designs of these beloved characters.
The Monster Hunter Digimon COLOR devices are set to retail for 7,700 yen (approximately $54) and can be pre-ordered through the Premium Bandai website. Regrettably, these virtual pet toys are currently limited to Japan, making direct imports from the Premium Bandai online store quite difficult. The pre-order window runs from September 26 to October 28, and fans can only hope that this collaboration will eventually be available outside of Japan, as many would surely love to have a digital monster to raise and carry with them.
