Trading Pokémon with friends has always been part of the Pokémon experience. Whether you send your friend their favorite Pokémon, help with their Pokédex, or try to get an evolution through trading, it can be a lot of fun.
It’s a big part of Pokémon Go too. Recently, a Pokémon Go player shared a heartwarming story on r/pokemongo about an exciting exchange with their friend, featuring a huge Pokémon.
Pokémon Go player trades immensely rare Pokémon
Originally appearing in a Reddit post, Pokémon Go player Patronus002 shared a capture of an incredibly rare Pokémon he had just traded to his friend.
The Pokémon shown in the screenshot below is a Shiny Dialga with the Original Form. Not only that, it’s a Shlundo (a Shiny, Lucky exchanged Hundo) with both the Lucky background and the Location background. This is a huge capture, and really cool to send to a friend.
So I traded this to my friend last night and got 4 noise complaints moments later… byu/Patronus002 inpokemongo
Patronus002 shared that as soon as they sent the Pokémon to their friend, they immediately received 4 noise complaints. In a reply further down the thread, Patronus002 said “I’ve never heard him scream that loud before and the man is a big sports fan too LOL” .
Pokémon Go players in the responses were, understandably, both excited and jealous about this incredible find. The chances of getting this particular mon are astronomically small.
One player congratulated the pair, saying “absolutely insane luck, your friend must be feeling on top of the world right now” and another pointed out: “Shiny, hundo, lucky, location map, and he has howl-time? This is the best luck I have ever seen lol” .
Some players in the replies shared their stories of bad luck, with one noting that “I was invited to two successful Dialga raids, used golden Framby Berries, only threw pretty effect or excellent throws… I still haven’t of Dialga” and calling it the elusive Pokémon.
