The revelation that SUGA had a blood alcohol level of 0.227% while driving has been met with widespread disapproval. Despite claiming to have only consumed one beer and driven a short distance, the rapper’s actions have sparked backlash.
It has been brought to attention that certain fans and members of the public are voicing their immense disappointment and questioning SUGA’s honesty regarding the amount of alcohol he had consumed. They feel that SUGA’s actions have potentially damaged the hard-earned reputation that BTS has built over their 11 years of dedication and hard work.
Furthermore, the rest of the BTS members are diligently carrying out their duties in the military, with the goal of making a complete return in 2025. As they continue to showcase admirable conduct, such as being chosen as special soldiers, excelling as teaching assistants, and being granted reward vacations, fans were taken aback by SUGA’s unique role as a social worker among the group.
There are also worries that this event could impede BTS’s ability to function as a group.
According to music industry officials, SUGA is being mindful of the drunk driving incident, as reported by Sports Chosun. Considering the strong camaraderie within BTS, it is unlikely that drastic actions such as SUGA leaving the group will be considered.
In addition, due to current challenges faced by HYBE, it is expected that BTS’s comeback in 2025 will be heavily emphasized and promoted as a full group.
