Netizens were shocked when they discovered the true identity of a social media influencer who gained fame for her striking resemblance to IVE member Jang Wonyoung.
Screenshots from a recent YouTube appearance by influencer Ever have been uploaded to various popular South Korean online community forums. Ever has a large following of over 38,000 on Instagram.
The commenter on the forum remarked, “The screenshots from the YouTube video show a completely different appearance compared to the photos she posted. She stated that she resembled Jang Wonyoung, but she appears to be a completely different individual.”
“Upon meeting her in person, I expected her appearance to closely resemble her photos, even if not identical. However, the unedited version of her was drastically different. This was particularly confounding since she earns income through endorsements, despite the stark contrast in visuals.”
Ever’s Instagram photos show off her striking jawline, large eyes, and cherry-red lips. Her doll-like appearance has captivated many admirers, with some even comparing her looks to that of a celebrity.
Despite this, on the YouTube video screen, her face appeared noticeably altered, with a rounder shape and subtle changes to her features, which caught people’s attention.
Despite being featured in videos, it was evident to many that she had altered her features to maintain a slender, doll-like appearance. The extent to which she went to edit her face shocked netizens. Some even admitted that viewing her page made them feel inadequate, but learning about her use of photo editing provides a slight sense of relief.
Some also noted that she bears little resemblance to Jang Wonyoung without the use of filters and editing.
Several comments stated,
- “Some comments are saying the difference is minimal. Are you guys blind? You call that minimal differences? She looks like a totally different person. The moment I saw her, I thought, ‘Wow… This is bad.’”
- “Wow, this case is f*cking shocking.”
- “Wow… This whole this is creepy as f*ck.”
- “If you look like this different online, don’t your real-life acquaintances feel awkward looking at you?”
- “How did she shoot her videos?”
- “This is f*cking bizarre.”
- “Wow, she even edited her videos…”
- “I think her real face looks better.”
- “There is no way that’s the same person.”
- “Even natural editing can make someone look like a different person.”
- “Wow, she really doesn’t look like Jang Wonyoung.”
- “I used to feel insecure looking at her Instagram selfies, but seeing this boosted my self-esteem.”
