Combo Breaker 2024 is a highly anticipated tournament that will bring back some of the most beloved fighting game titles. The event’s details, such as the schedule, games, and prize pools, have been revealed.
Started in 2015, Combo Breaker is a yearly competition that honors fighting games and showcases talented participants. In addition, the event includes community activities, artists, exhibitors, and other attractions.
Anticipation is growing for the upcoming tournament, the first to showcase the post-Akuma patch in Street Fighter 6. This highly-anticipated patch is expected to bring significant alterations to the game. Additionally, this tournament will mark the second major event to feature Tekken 8, following EVO Japan 2024.
Titles such as Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Mortal Kombat 1, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike will also be featured.

Format
The format for Combo Breaker 2024 will be double-elimination.
All participants will start in the winners’ bracket and progress to the finals. In the event of a loss, they will be moved to the lower bracket. However, they will have a maximum of two opportunities before being eliminated.
