In celebration of Epic Games’ Battle Royale reaching its seventh anniversary, players can engage in a Birthday event that allows them to enjoy Birthday Cake and generate Balloons by jumping while equipped with the Birthday Medallion.
While the Balloons are entertaining on their own, enabling players to equip up to three and enhance their jump height, an innovative application of them has recently come to light.
A Reddit user posted a video showcasing how they managed to attach a Shield Bubble to a teammate’s Balloon, allowing it to remain fixed for the entirety of its duration. This item creates a large protective dome around the area where it is deployed.
This tactic effectively transformed the Shield Bubble into a mobile barrier that follows the player. Not only does it provide complete coverage, but it can also encompass teammates as well. The user even provided evidence of this strategy contributing to their team’s Victory Royale.
The responses to this post reflected surprise and admiration towards this clever trick. Many players described it as impressive, while others expressed their intent to replicate it in their own games.

The Droideka is a battle droid from the Star Wars universe known for its ability to generate similar shield bubbles for protection.

Additionally, moving Shield Bubbles were made possible in 2019 after a Fortnite streamer discovered they could be placed on bushes and attach to players. Some fans even created aerial versions of this protective barrier.
