The introduction of a new raid has shifted the focus to the Awakened raiding system in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Season 4. Despite this change, Shadow Priests have an advantage due to a powerful healing bug that is currently making their gameplay easier.
As reported by Wowhead, Shadow Priests have encountered a bug in Awakened raids that affects their Shadowform ability, Devouring Plague. Instead of healing for the intended 30% damage, it is currently healing for 133%, allowing players to bypass multiple mechanics in the current raid, including those that require significant healing.
Players are consistently encountering bugs in Awakened raids, not just limited to the Shadow Priest buff. However, unlike the fortunate benefit it provides for that class, bugs for other classes are not aiding them in tackling one of the game’s toughest challenges.
In Awakened instances, the damage output of Devastation Evokers, Assassination Rogues, and Monks is considerably lower than anticipated. This particularly affects spells that cause residual damage, as their output is a percentage of the damage dealt by another ability.
Blizzard has not yet announced a release date for any hotfixes addressing the aforementioned bugs on live servers. It is probable that a small update will be released before the highly anticipated Dark Heart content update Patch 10.2.7 on May 7. With both WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria and the next expansion on the horizon, players will have plenty to keep them occupied in Azeroth.
