A prominent JJK account shared, “About the anime: The intense battle between the Jujutsu High members and Sukuna was significantly influenced by the Jujutsu Kaisen anime.
“When the anime adaptation is in progress, they adjust the direction based on the manga. Even as the original author, I sometimes find myself thinking, ‘Wow, this is incredible!’ and ‘You can utilize this technique in this manner too…’ – it’s as if I’m inspired by something that’s been reverse imported.”
Fans find this revelation captivating, with one commenting, “Gege being a fanboy of his own creation to the extent of getting excited about how it will look animated is truly adorable.”
“It’s amazing how both mediums have influenced each other,” noted another fan.
“Oh, this clarifies the invisible chainsaws that Sukuna used to grip Yuta’s sword. Gege took that from MAPPA’s depiction of Sukuna skating with slashes, lol,” chimed in a third user.
