Instructions for Participating in the Pokemon Worlds 2024 Fantasy Team Contest

The upcoming Pokemon World Championships of 2024 are fast approaching, bringing along a range of exhilarating events and promotions for fans to participate in.

In addition to the in-game rewards for Pokemon Go players and the attractive Pikachu promo card available for TCG players at their local League, there is an exciting contest for fans to participate in.

This competition follows a fantasy draft-style format and provides a diverse range of rewards for the victors.

Pokemon Fantasy Team Contest: Entry Process and Point Allocation

To participate in the Pokemon Worlds 2024 Fantasy Team Contest, you must have a valid Pokemon Trainer Club account. You can verify your eligibility and create a Fantasy Team by visiting the following link: https://fantasy.pokemon.com/en/.

In order to participate in the Fantasy Team Contest, there are several prerequisites that must be met beforehand. These requirements are as follows:

  • To be eligible, you must either be a resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your state, whichever is older, or a resident of Canada and at least 19 years old.
  • It is not permissible for you to have any affiliation with The Pokemon Company, such as being employed by the company or being a child of an employee. The complete list of prohibited participants can be found here.

If you are unsure about the eligibility of your account, attempting to sign in and participate on the official contest page will result in an ineligible screen being displayed if applicable.

If your account meets the requirements, the Fantasy Team site will guide you through the steps of creating your desired team. There are two separate categories for the Scarlet & Violet games and Pokemon trading cards. You can participate in both, but you can only claim one set of prizes.

In the World Championships, points are given according to the performance of players. For instance, if you have chosen a Greninja ex card for your TCG draft and it happens to be included in the winning deck of the TCG champion, you will be awarded 48 points.

The winners will receive a notification through the email linked to their Pokemon Trainer Club account on or around August 24. Therefore, it is important to regularly check your inbox for updates.

The Fantasy Team Competition offers numerous enticing rewards for Pokemon enthusiasts, such as a cool Pokemon card and a charming summer ball.

In addition, the first 10,000 participants from the US and 2,000 participants from Canada who create their Fantasy Teams will receive a 10% discount code for the Pokemon Center. This code will remain valid until August 31, 2024.

The top 100 players in both the TCG and VGC categories will receive a Pikachu promo card, a Stellar Crown Booster Display Box, and a perfectly round Spheal summer beach ball.

The top 100 prizes will be awarded to the overall winners of both the TCG and VGC categories, in addition to a large Arcanine plush.
