Interview with aespa Karina: Her Dream to Make Acting Debut
On April 18, 2024, Karina took on the role of a special DJ for MBC FM4U’s “Lee Seok Hoon’s Brunch Cafe”while the main DJ, Lee Seok Hoon, was on vacation.
As the show began, Karina revealed her apprehension about taking on the DJ role, questioning, “Even though I’ve simply shifted from the guest’s seat to DJ Seok’s, why do I feel so uneasy and unfamiliar?”
Despite her initial uncertainty, she conveyed her determination to excel in her new position, stating, “Like breaking in a new pair of shoes, I believe that after the unfamiliar moments fade, I can cultivate a ‘perfect match’ connection with all of you.”
Karina admitted to having a desire to try acting when she was asked about it, stating, “Given the chance, I believe I would find enjoyment in it.”
The idol delved further into her interests, expressing a desire to explore various genres. She mentioned a desire to incorporate comedy into her work and noted her experience with action, suggesting it would also be enjoyable to try. She then listed romantic comedy, fantasy, and action as genres she would like to pursue.

Aespa Karina’s Recent Activities
On April 11, 2024, it was announced that Karina would become the brand ambassador for Vita 500 Zero, a popular Korean vitamin C drink.
The announcement was made on April 8, 2024 that Karina would be featured on the KBS 2TV music variety show “SynchroYou.”She will join Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Juck, Lee Young Jin, BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae, and SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi for the show. Viewers can look forward to the pilot episodes being released on May 10 and 18.
Karina was chosen to be the new ambassador for Converse Korea in January 2024.
