On the May 24th episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show “Convenience Store Restaurant”, Kim Jaejoong made a guest appearance and wowed the audience with a sneak peek into his lavish home and impressive cooking abilities.
After a 15-year absence from terrestrial broadcasting, Kim Jaejoong made a stunning comeback as a remarkable new chef. When asked about his appearance on the show, he expressed, “Since I haven’t been on TV much, my parents are overjoyed that I’m participating in ‘Convenience Store Restaurant’.”
Kim Jaejoong’s debut of his daily life at home on TV marked a first. The chic décor, including an array of lighting options and a hallway reminiscent of an art gallery, highlighted his unique style. His kitchen, stocked with heavily used utensils, hinted at his expertise in homemaking.
Kim Jaejoong, hailed as a “cooking prodigy,”shared that he acquired his culinary skills from his mother, who owned a restaurant specializing in gamjatang (Pork Back-bone Stew) during his childhood. He expressed his sincere passion for cooking, stating, “I began experimenting in the kitchen at the tender age of 9. Seeing others savoring my dishes brings me the utmost joy.”
Despite still exuding a dazzling idol appearance, Kim Jaejoong surprised viewers on Friday evening by showcasing exceptional cooking skills. This added a charming and relatable side to his superstar image, captivating the audience with his unexpected charm.
In addition, Kim Jaejoong has announced the release of a full-length album in June to celebrate his 20th year as a solo artist. He will also be performing in a concert in Seoul in July, and will then embark on an Asia tour. Fans can look forward to his ongoing musical pursuits as he continues to captivate them with his talents.
