Introducing The Ultimate Challenge – a must-see for Squid Game enthusiasts

A recently debuted South Korean competition series on Netflix is definitely worth checking out if you enjoyed Squid Game and its reality spinoff, Squid Game: The Challenge.

Despite the wait, there are numerous TV shows available to keep us entertained, such as The Influencer. This newly released competition series features 77 of Korea’s top influencers competing in a series of survival games to determine who holds the most influence.

The initial four episodes were released on Netflix on August 6, introducing the complete ensemble of well-known social media personalities. The latest additions to the cast include beauty YouTuber RISABAE and travel vlogger PaniBottle.

Additionally, there are several notable individuals in the fitness community such as Shim Euddeum, a workout YouTuber who participated in the successful survival series Physical: 100 on the streaming platform. Actor Jang Keun-suk, along with TikTokers Sia_jiwoo and KEJIMIN, also contribute to the growing presence of fitness influencers online.

The perfect series to watch for fans of K-survival shows such as Siren: Survive the Island, Zombieverse, and The Devil’s Plan, The Influencer features 77 contestants conquering tough obstacles.

Additionally, Squid Game shares some similarities with The Challenge, as both shows feature a large group of contestants and use the same format to introduce them in the series.

The Influencer’s announcement has generated excitement among fans, as evidenced by one fan’s tweet on X/Twitter. They wrote, “This sounds like an exhilarating reality TV show! Who needs a crown when you can be crowned ‘Most Influential’? It’s like a contemporary version of the Hunger Games, but with more selfies and less focus on weaponry.”

Another person referenced Squid Game, saying, “So it’s basically Squid Game, huh?”While a third person made a joke, saying, “Is everything turning into Squid Game now?”A fourth person joined in, recommending The Influencer on Netflix and adding that they are enjoying it so far.

Creator Lee Jae-seok explained the concept behind the development of the new reality show, stating that he was intrigued by the idea of bringing together influencers who were categorized by algorithms in a single location.

“By watching on Netflix, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the biggest influencers in Korea and be a part of a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience, complete with spectacular production and exclusive social challenges that have never been seen before.”

The number of episodes in Season 1 is currently unknown, but the Netflix listing states that there are seven episodes. The next chapter is expected to be released within the week.
