Invincible: The release schedule for season 2 episodes on Prime Video

Season 2 of Invincible returns soon to Prime Video. And now that part 2 has revealed its release date, we give you the full episode schedule.

Invincible on Amazon follows Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), a high school student who turns out to be the son of the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (JK Simmons). However, shortly after developing his own powers and donning his own skintight costume under the high-sounding moniker of Invincible, a series of bizarre and brutal incidents occur, including the complete massacre of the Guardians of the Globe.

By the end of the first season, the truth had been revealed: Omni-Man had never sought to be Earth’s protector, but rather its conqueror. Like an evil Superman, he came from a race of infamous brutes from a distant universe, living only to pillage, exterminating anything unfortunate enough to find themselves in their path to sit down their supremacy across the galaxy. Which Mark refused to accept.

The wait for Invincible Season 2 Part 2 has been long, but will be over soon. Here is the episode release schedule.

How many episodes will there be in Invincible season 2 on Amazon Prime Video?

Invincible season 2 will have a total of eight episodes. But there is a but… Indeed, it was not entirely released in November 2023. Prime Video decided to cut the season into two parts, and only four episodes were broadcast before the break.

Likewise, don’t expect to binge-watch the (mis)adventures of Mark and his comrades. Unlike Netflix, Amazon does not have the habit of broadcasting its series in full, preferring a weekly publication, and even the first episodes of the series will not be entitled to a grouped release.

Invincible Season 2 Episode Release Schedule

Here is the release schedule for Invincible season 2 episodes on Prime Video:

  • Episode 1: November 3, 2023
  • Episode 2: November 10, 2023
  • Episode 3: November 17, 2023
  • Episode 4: November 24, 2023
  • Episode 5: March 14, 2024
  • Episode 6: March 21, 2024
  • Episode 7: March 28, 2024
  • Episode 8: April 4, 2024

It goes without saying that impatience is not necessarily easy to manage for everyone, with the idea of waiting until spring 2024 to be entitled to the rest of season 2. In an interview with Collider, creator (of the comics and the series) Robert Kirkman explained that several factors contributed to the decision to split the season into two parts: “It’s a little bit because of the production process, because Getting started took a lot longer than we thought.”

“But it’s also something we’ve done with every season of The Walking Dead, and I think, narratively, it’s pretty cool to have that break to digest what you just experienced. And when you see Episode 4 of Season 2, you’ll probably need a break. This will be a big episode, clearly a mid-season episode. (…) And with everything that happens at this time of year, like New Year’s Eve, Christmas, New Years and a lot of family time, I think a lot of series go unnoticed. So I think it’s good to take a break and, narratively, it’s going to make things a little more impactful. People will know what I’m talking about when the season starts.”

With these good words, as much reassuring as they are worrying for the future of our superheroes and the mental integrity of the spectators, we will see you on March 14, 2024 on Prime Video for the launch of part 2 of the season 2 of Invincible.
