Invisible Woman Trick in Marvel Rivals Exposes Major Game Flaw

Players of Marvel Rivals have unearthed a clever trick involving the character Invisible Woman, which underscores ongoing issues related to bots in the game. Since its release, players have reported a surge in bot-filled matches, especially after experiencing consecutive losses in Quickplay.

The presence of bots has sparked significant debate within the community, exacerbated by the introduction of the Fantastic Four in the Season 1 update. This update not only brought new characters, including Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, but also set a new record for player count in the process.

Each of these new characters introduces unique gameplay dynamics. Invisible Woman, in particular, has abilities that let her manipulate psionic energy, heal teammates, and become invisible. However, some resourceful players have discovered innovative uses for her powers, particularly as a strategy against bots.

Exploiting the Invisible Woman Trick Against Bots

A recent post on Reddit showcased gameplay footage demonstrating an effective “hidden OP” strategy. In this approach, a player controlling Invisible Woman activated her cloaking ability while positioning herself beside a staircase. This created a scenario where enemy bots, instead of navigating around her, became stuck and failed to contribute to the match objectives.

Commenters on the post noted that this incident highlights a broader issue: the pervasive presence of bots in various matches. Some players expressed frustration over the deceptive nature of bot names, emphasizing a sense of disbelief about the level of sophistication often employed to mask the fact that players are contending with non-human opponents.

One user pointed out, “That’s crazy how intricate the names they use to disguise the fact that they’re having you fight bots… I truly hate it so much.” Another chimed in regarding the ongoing talks surrounding bots in Quickplay, stating, “And there’s people that say bots in QP is a conspiracy theory.”

Interestingly, some Redditors initially mistook the stuck characters for real players, prompting one user to clarify, “These are bots, their pathfinding is getting messed up by Invisible Woman here. That’s why they aren’t doing anything.”

As of now, developer NetEase has not publicly addressed the problem of bots infiltrating matches, leaving players to hope that this new Invisible Woman trick does not lead to further disruptions in gameplay.
