The leaked image on X (formerly Twitter) suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will undergo significant design changes, including the removal of bezels on the display.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max’s protective glass was shared by renowned leaker Ice Universe, who also provided an image of the device. Although no further information was given about the display, the picture displays minimal bezels.
The individual who leaked information about the iPhone 16 Pro Max had previously disclosed that it will feature incredibly slim bezels and a futuristic design. They also disclosed the dimensions of the iPhone 16 Pro Max to be 163.024mm × 77.575mm × 8.26mm.

The upcoming iPhone is 3.1mm taller, 0.88mm wider, and 1mm thicker than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, with all dimensions being larger.
The 6.9-inch screen size on the rumored iPhone would exceed the 6.7-inch display found on last year’s model, possibly accounting for several of the reported modifications.
According to Ice Universe, the bezels on the iPhone 16 Pro Max will measure 1.153mm, making them equally sized on all sides of the display. This is even slimmer than the bezels on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which measure 1.55mm.
According to the leaker, the total bezel size for the iPhone 16 Pro Max is allegedly only 2.146mm, including the metal frame. This is in contrast to the 3.38mm size for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The change has brought joy to Apple fans. “There are no bezels [crying emoji],”remarked one individual. “Ooooh, those Bezels are so thin,”another commenter wrote. “This is insane, no wonder why Apple is considered the top smartphone brand,”another person added.
Despite not receiving any official confirmation from Apple, the leaked image of the tempered glass provides some insight. While it is uncertain what exactly to expect, previous rumors indicate that Apple may be heading towards a bezel-less iPhone.
There is no practical benefit to thin bezels on phones, other than their aesthetic appeal.
