iPhone 16 Pro: Razor-Thin Bezels in Updated Design Revealed in Leaked Images

Recent leaks indicate that the forthcoming iPhone 16 Pro may feature bezels that are even slimmer than those on the Samsung Galaxy S24.

Every year during its fall event, Apple releases updates for the iPhones. Although this year’s launch event is still several months away, recent leaks have revealed new information about the design of the iPhone 16 Pro models.

According to reputable leaker IceUniverse, the iPhone 16 Pro models will feature remarkably slim bezels around the screen, bringing it one step closer to the coveted “dream form”factor. He claims that the Pro iPhone’s bezels will be thinner than any other smartphone, surpassing even the Galaxy S24 lineup.

According to a report from PhoneArena, a Weibo user who claims to have access to the upcoming iPhone has revealed that the bezels on the iPhone 16 Pro will measure 1.2mm, while those on the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be slightly slimmer at 1.15mm.

If this is accurate, it would be a noteworthy accomplishment since the borders of the iPhone 15 Pro are only 1.71mm, whereas the bezel of the iPhone 14 Pro is 2.15mm thin.

We have previously heard about the shrinking bezels on the upcoming iPhones. In April, The Elec released a report stating that Apple intends to utilize a complex solution called Border Reduction Structure (BRS) in order to reduce the bezels to their thinnest form.

The report maintains that no company has achieved the level of iPhone OLED production rate that Apple expects.

The display panel of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max is anticipated to be marginally larger, and the reduced bezels will enhance the display’s immersion and prominence.

According to additional sources, the iPhone 16 Pro may have a 6.3-inch screen, an increase from the 6.1-inch screen on the previous model. Similarly, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to feature a 6.9-inch display, compared to the 6.7-inch display found on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
