On September 30, Vtuber Ironmouse achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the most-subscribed Twitch streamer ever, surpassing the prior record held by streamer Kai Cenat.
As fans celebrated Ironmouse’s historic accomplishment during her subathon, Cenat’s supporters were eager to learn how he would react to the news.
Staying true to his character, Kai took it in stride, generously complimenting the Vtuber and recognizing her status as a leading content creator.
“I want to extend my congratulations to Ironmouse for breaking my record,” he remarked. “Let’s give her a round of applause. But listen, she really did that – yet I made a promise to my fans if my record was ever surpassed. So, we will see what unfolds in the future.”
Kai is still resolved to reclaim his leading position, and more than a week later, Ironmouse has shared her thoughts on his challenge.
“Records are created to be broken,” the Vtuber stated in an October 10 interview with Rolling Stone. “I think it’s incredible if he comes back and surpasses it, as it’s essential to keep progressing. It’s fantastic for both his fanbase and the overall streaming community.”
“The goal of my stream was to raise funds for the Immune Deficiency Foundation while providing a fun experience for my audience. Therefore, let’s keep pushing forward and reach for even greater heights.”

Despite Kai’s supportive stance, Ironmouse faced criticism from some of his fans who were displeased with a Vtuber overtaking one of Twitch’s prominent figures. Initial reactions included those from Kick streamer Adin Ross, who seemed conflicted about the situation.
Ironmouse addressed the criticism directed at her, emphasizing her positive outlook and her tendency to disregard negative comments.
“Many creators were incredibly supportive,” she reflected. “It was heartwarming to witness. There will always be negativity from certain corners of the internet, but on the whole, fellow creators have been unbelievably kind to me. Some individuals simply won’t comprehend your journey and that’s perfectly fine.”
“My message is to always choose kindness and acknowledge that some may not understand your path. If you feel the urge to voice something critical, you could simply say, ‘Donate plasma.’”
